Pam Gravittepicture of Pam Gravitte's dogs

Pam Gravitte was born and raised in Northern Virginia and is a graduate of the FCPS school system.   She earned a B.A. in Marketing Education at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, K-12, from the graduate center of Virginia Tech University while teaching at George C. Marshall High School.   Ms. Gravitte has worked for Fairfax County Public Schools for 16 years.

Ms. Gravitte served as an FCPS Classroom-on-the-Mall teacher which inspired her to enter private industry in order to gain real world experience that would benefit her students.   Ms. Gravitte spent several years working abroad in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. As a marketing teacher and DECA advisor, Ms. Gravitte challenged her students to be excellent communicators by preparing them for numerous awards at the district, state and international level. 

Ms. Gravitte served in a variety of leadership roles that included Summer School Principal, Assistant Principal, Department Chairperson and Dean of Students at Annandale High School.   Ms. Gravitte also enjoyed the opportunity to lead as an Assistant Principal at Braddock Elementary School for a year and a half.

Ms. Gravitte is a dedicated educator and enjoys interacting with students, teachers and parents.  She enjoys spending quality time with her family, friends and two rescue dogs, Rascal and Scoutie.  She enjoys watching the Redskins or Virginia Tech Hokies play football, going to concerts, traveling, reading, swimming and the beach.
